In addition to our ongoing development at Vistas de Chirripo we continue to search out those special locations in southern Costa Rica that have the potential to meet our objective of sustainable development in locations of natural beauty that are also near to essential services and other amenities. The development parcels that we currently hold include three properties near the Pacific ocean on the southern coast of the county. These as yet undeveloped properties hold great potential for someone contemplating a new residential or nature lodge type of project.
These properties are located at Ojochal, and two adjacent to the Diquis Delta, Ventana del Pacifico and Vistas del Diquis.
Ojochal Area: 3.741 square meters (0.92 acres)
This property is located just outside the village of Ojochal on the southern Pacific coast, at Playa Tortuga. Road access is good, and utilities are present. There is mature growth, with a number of large trees, on this property of nearly one acre. Smaller growth has been controlled, and there are several attractive potential building sites which would be ideal for cabins as part of a nature lodge. Vistas del Diquis is a marvelous development parcel with expansive views of the Diquis Delta, Osa Peninsula and Cano Island in the Pacific Ocean. The huge Diquis delta area includes the mouths of the Rio Terraba and Rio Sierpe and is a rich archaelogical area where the famous pre-Columbian stone spheres are found.
