Booking Flights to Costa Rica

(and Getting Around Once You Arrive)

Join us in Costa Rica where your tropical adventure awaits!  Your options for flights to Costa Rica have seen vast improvement over the past several years, with many more airlines now offering direct flights. For access to the southern zone your flight is into San Jose, and there are direct flights available from Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Orlando, Miami, Charlotte, New York, Newark, Madrid, Amsterdam and Frankfurt, among others.

San Isidro de El General is only 2.5 hours south from San Jose on the Inter-American highway. There is excellent bus service throughout most parts of the Costa Rica, and domestic air travel to many points, but many visitors who are travelling independently choose to rent a vehicle at the airport or in San Jose, and tour Costa Rica at their own pace. That alone is an indication of the comfort level of most visitors to this country.

Visitors from the United States, Canada and most European countries do not need a visa; they can stay in the country for up to 90 days at a time with their passport. People wanting to stay longer at any given time may leave the country for 3 days before returning (3 day excursions to holiday spots in neighbouring Panama are popular) or can apply for permanent residency.

Living in Costa Rica provides almost unlimited opportunities for adventure, whether your idea of adventure is white water rafting, scuba diving and exploring tropical rainforests, or golfing, relaxing on the beach, visiting a spa and shopping!

With the increase in direct flights to Costa Rica, this spectacular country is much more accessible than ever before, and our development at Vistas de Chirippo could be the perfect place for your real estate investment, retirement or vacation home, and a base from which you can continue to tour Costa Rica and experience tropical adventure.
